Frostbites
To date we have had 24 members of the club take part in the DMYC "frostbite" race series.
Congratulations to mug winners*, Niamh & Ralph on Jan 29'th with a superb 2'ond place finish in a Magno, and to Martina & Robin on Jan 14'th who finished 3'rd in Heineken on what was the most difficult day of racing all year.
You can check out all the results at http://homepage.eircom.net/~sidclub/frostbite/Frostbite05.htm
(*Each week a set of frostbite mugs is presented to the highest placed finishers who have not previously won a mug)
Nicola continues to be our most consistent performer and is favourite to be the SID champion http://homepage.eircom.net/~sidclub/frostbite/SIDFrost.htm
There are still another eight races to go, so if you are interested in taking part please let me know.
Dinghy Coaching Session - Feb 12
There will be a coaching session on Sunday Feb 12'th at 11.30 in the Coal Harbour on boat tuning and race preparation given by Tim Fenelon. Even if you are not racing you are welcome to come along.
Skiing in Dublin
Skiing in Dublin (SKID) Club is an offshoot of the Sailing In Dublin (SID) Club. The initial members are Cearbhall, Damien, Gary, Keith & Peter As snow conditions up on the Three Rock were just not adequate, we decamped to Livigno(Italy) last week.
A great week was had by all, the frozen water proving to be just as much fun as the wet stuff...http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cearbhalld/album?.dir=c8b6
Ralph has now started rival Skiing in Austria Club if you want to give it a go.
Christmas Party
The SID Christmas party took place on November 30'th in TK's restaurant, and later on in Doheney & Nesbits, and then on to Cafe Insane for the truly incorrigible.
The appearance of Santa with gifts for all proved that were not all that badly behaved, although Gary may have some evidence to the contrary...

Thanks again to Damien for organising.
I hope to see you all back sailing in 2006.
